Finally...

Well the candy melts and cookie cutters showed up in the mail from my mom, thankfully not melted, so I finally got to try my cupcake pops.
I learned a thing or two, next time make sure the candy melts are very thin and not just kinda thin to avoid clumping. Also my pops were a bit big, I'm using the 1.5" cutter so I thought they should be a bit bigger, but they could do a but smaller.
Anyway, not a bad first shot!





Obviously, I didn't wait for them to complete harder before I bit in, I wanted to get my pictures done with and clean the kitchen. lol

First attempt at pops... fail. I neeeed the proper stuff, why oh why in this little northern town can we not find candy melts? I feel a need for a specialty cooking/bake shop here, I wonder if it'd do well? New venture for me? hmm

Cupcake pops...

Just waiting for the oven to heat up and I'll be baking up some cake for my first attempt at cupcake pops. Since I couldn't find candy melts in this northern town, I'll just be using white chocolate for now till I can get my mom to shop for me! I do have the lollipop sticks. Shall post them up tomorrow!
